GROWING IN FAITH BULLETIN Our Next School Mass is scheduled for Friday, October 20th at St. Joseph’s Church. Please note that students are bused directly to church. If your child(ren) miss their bus, they are to be taken to church. LIBRARY NEWS By now all our students have enjoyed visits to our Library. During this time they have enjoyed a story read by Mrs. Coutts, or spent time in our computer lab. Our students are encouraged to choose books of interest and to read for the pleasure of reading. It is so important to share these books with your child and to spend time reading together. Also I encourage you to let your child see you read books of your own , sharing your passion for reading will motivate them. " Modeling isn't the one way of influencing people. It's the only way." There will be a " Living Book" display in the foyer of the school during our open house on October 5th. These books will be available to purchase. " To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark." Please continue to collect and send in your grocery tapes form Zehrs and Foodland. Money obtained is used to purchase more books for our students. |
