Principal’s Message

As we move from September to October we are reminded of just how quickly each month passes. It seems like yesterday that we were starting the year anew. As we move into October, a time for thanksgiving, I personally, would like to give thanks to the St. Mary’s School Community for making me feel welcome, turning my first month at the school into a very rewarding one.

As a school , we continue to take pride in our achievements. Our soccer teams and cross country team have been busy preparing themselves for upcoming events. We enjoyed a wonderful day for our Terry Fox walk. The turn out of staff, students ,and some parents was a great source of spirit for the school community. In our efforts to continue to improve communication with our parent community we have installed a lit sign with a message board on the front of our property which will be updated regularly by our grade 6/7 class.

It is at this time of year that we reflect on and give thanks for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us. We are challenged each and every day to make the most of those blessings and not to take them for granted. It is with great pleasure that we extend our wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Indoor Games…

….if any of you are cleaning out your closets or basements and are looking for someone to take your old board games, card games, etc. Please send them to the school as we would gladly use them during indoor recess time. It is important however, they come complete with all the pieces.

Respectfully,

Dave Cassone,

Principal
