Principal’s Message With the end of the month of November and the onset of December and Christmas we find ourselves in a state of constant excitement. As the first term is now behind us we are busy preparing for our first set of report cards and parent/teacher interviews keeping in mind the Christmas concert is just around the corner. With the report cards coming home next week, it is important to note that assessment is a continuous process of gathering information about student learning and performance over time. The purpose of assessment is to improve student learning by identifying student strengths and needs, monitoring student progress and performance and providing ongoing feedback. Continuous assessment allows us to monitor program effectiveness and inform instruction while providing critical data for evaluation, reporting, and making instructional decisions. This month we honour the following students for their exceptional efforts at our school. The students of the month for November include: Neilsen N., Michael R., Abby G., Noah R., Liam C., Mackenzie V., Allan C., .Kyle R., Madeline M. Daniel L. Jesse R., Taylor D., Connor W., and Nadia D. Students will be recognized at our assembly, Monday, Dec. 4th at 2:35 p.m. All visitors are asked to sign in and out at the office. A VISITOR TAG will be given. A reminder to parents: students arriving late or leaving the school prior to 3:15 p.m. must sign in or out at the office. Thank you for your cooperation. |
